We are stoked to announce we have teamed up with a long established outfitter in Nepal who we hung out with when we travelled the country for a month back in 2018. Combining these guys, local knowledge with our international guiding experience means we can finally offer you the Nepal River Running Adventure!

Who is this trip aimed at?

Nepal mainly boasts big and bouncy white water, whilst the size of the wave-trains can be intimidating, the majority of the rapids would only be considered a UK grade 3, on the harder rapids there are easier lines and always the option to portage.

Whilst our other trips could be considered “paddling holidays” this definitely feels more like a paddling “adventure”. The big difference from this trip to our others, and indeed the main reason kayakers visit Nepal, is the multi days. Wild camping on sandy beaches waking up to sunrise over the mountains is a feeling that very few UK paddlers get to experience, but, with this comes the long journeys by road, the remoteness and damp thermal feeling in the morning as well as a definite culture shock. All this said, we’ve never met anyone that wouldn’t go back if given half a chance!

We think that because of the adventurous nature of Nepal that whilst the rivers are grade 3 this trip would suit a paddler that is used to paddling between grade 3 and 4 in the UK.

Nepal Flag

The roof of the world, everyone has heard of the famous valleys, mountains and rivers of Nepal and on this trip our plan is to tick off some of those legendary descents. We’ve sidestepped the normal deal-breaking faff by having our own driver for shuttles the whole trip and raft support for the two multi-days meaning we can focus on the rivers, kayaking and views .Below is the planned layout of the 12 days in Nepal, of course this can and will change based on water levels and group experience.
